Great Scottish Run 2012 Half Marathon · 2 September 2012 ·

We help the babies, children and young people treated at Scotland's largest children's hospital, the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. We fund medical equipment, research, play programmes and family support services to ensure that our young patients receive the best possible care and experience.

Story

My best friend Donna lost her fight with cancer on 25th of April last year at just 29 years old. Donna was diagnosed with a Brain tumor around 2 years ago, leaving behind a wonderful family and her 2 boys Lennon and Bobby. She tragically lost her life however The Donna Memorial Fund raises money to help give something back to children suffering from similar conditions.

After going through surgery and monthly treatment for over 2 years, Donna was passionate about helping children suffering from her condition, and this is why for the 2nd year running Im determined to raise as much money to help keep her vision alive! She was the most amazing person I've ever known, and has left a massive void in so many people’s lives. However she is my inspiration, she was extremely courageous and determined amongst so many other qualities and because of this I am running the 3 events this year, 10k, 5k and the 1/2 Marathon in her memory!

The funds I raise will go to the Donna Miller Fund and help to continue the amazing treatment that York hill do for children with similar conditions.

So for the 2nd year I ask family & friends of both Donna and myself to please... please dig deep and donate what you can... its for an amazing cause and a wonderful person... thank you!
