Hike to Mount Everest base camp · 16 October 2017

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity operates and funds three air ambulances and a fleet of critical care cars covering Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. This lifesaving service costs £13-14 million each year and is funded by donations only.

Story

Steven and I are completing a 15 day hike through the Himalayan mountains to eventually reach Mount Everest base camp. The trail leading to the Sherpa hub of Namche through the dense forests and scenic landscape and will reach the maximum altitude of 5555m (18225 ft) Averaging 6-8 hours of hiking a day.

We both love going on adventures and taking on big challenges so we thought we'd help out a good cause at the same time.
