Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity is the official charity of the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales. The charity is independent of the NHS although they work in close partnership with Cardiff & Vale Health Board. They are there to help support all patients across the children’s hospital and exclude no one.

They believe passionately that all children in Wales should get the best possible hospital care. Working with the NHS, they aim to provide the Noah’s Ark hospital with state of the art equipment and facilities; helping it become one of the best children’s hospitals in the world.
Noah’s Ark Charity receives no government or NHS funding. Everything they fund is only made possible thanks to the donations and gifts that they receive.

Anyone with children will tell you it is likely you will need the care and support from the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital. Whether that’s for your child’s ongoing health issues, minor injuries or as far as severe health complications. 

Sophia recently had a stay at the hospital, thankfully this was for a short period and not too serious. Whilst she was there it was fast approaching her 5th birthday. The care she received was second to none. They even added the icing on the cake (excuse the pun) by surprising her with a birthday card and presents. The uplift this gave her during her stay was incredible. 

Now more than ever with Covid we are beginning to realise how much we take for granted hospital care and facilities. We had explained to Sophia the hospital is run on donations. She’s even offered to donate her old toys so children have more toys to play with then they stay. 

Sophia is an aspiring runner, growing up watching her Dad run and raise money for Charity. Sophia would like to do the same starting with a charity she has directly benefited from and likely to again in the future. 

Sophia would be really grateful for your support, helping her to achieve her target for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity. She will be completing the 5k Nos Galan run and 1 mile Reindeer Run in December 2020.
