Victim Support is an independent charity. We are dedicated to supporting people affected by crime and traumatic incidents in England and Wales and we put them at the heart of our organisation. We provide specialist help and services to support people to cope and recover.

Story

In two days we will have reached the first anniversary of Simon's death. As many who visit will know, I have raised money for a charity which has been very close to me and my family over the past year, Victim Support, and intend on continuing to do so in Simon's name. The overnight Lacrosse marathon ran for him in October 2012 raised a total of £2235 and I hope to raise a total of £5000 for the charity.

This page has been set up to honour Simon a year on from his death, and any donations made will go directly to Victim Support under his name. Because of the tragic circumstances surrounding what happened to Simon, this charity is the perfect choice as it continues to help families thrown into similar situations as we were ourselves.

To donate money in Simon's name is to honour and remember a truly incredible Father to myself and Matt, partner, brother, son and friend to many. He is always missed and loved but will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

'Life is a daring adventure, or nothing.'

Simon Meech (1.2.1966-28.7.2012)
