This year we're celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Ethiopiaid.

Our vision is an Ethiopia in which every person enjoys the right
to quality education, healthcare and a life of dignity.

This November, along with some colleagues we are taking on the
challenge to raise £3000 each for our partners.

We will fly out to Addis Ababa to take part in Africa's biggest
road race (a terrifying prospect for me and which I have started 'learning to run' in preparation for!) then visit and volunteer with a number of our projects.

Volunteering: We will assist with and serve the street children's breakfast, volunteer for Hope Enterprises, visit Dignity Period and
deliver a carefully designed needs-based day of activities, games and play therapy at Cheshire Services rehabilitation centre.

The Great Ethiopian Run: We will join 40,000 people in Africa's
largest road race founded by the legendary Haile Gebreselassie. This is a rare opportunity to participate alongside some of Ethiopia's finest athletes in the home of long-distance running. (Gulp!!!!)

Fundraising: We will also be raising funds for Ethiopiaid to support the work of our local partners. This is not a holiday, it will be hard work!

This is an opportunity for us to use the education, stability
and good health that we have always enjoyed in the UK to help those who have not had such luxuries. It will be a mental and physical challenge, aiming to provide funding and assistance to some of Ethiopia's poorest and deprived people.

This will be a life changing experience where I will have the chance to give back, help out with and see first hand the amazing work  carried out by Ethiopiaid's partners.For more information about their work visit: https://www.ethiopiaid.org.uk/
