Story
Next February I take on the challenge of a lifetime when I attempt to complete a seven day husky dog trek across the arctic circle to raise money on behalf of the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).
As many of you will know we lost my Dad this year to MND. Throughout the horrible illness my dad showed such determination and bravery and has been an inspiration to me and many others.
Now it's my turn to do something to try and make a difference. For those of you that don't know me physical exertion is definitely not my cup of tea. Going to the toilet in a forest in the snow certainly isn't!
MND is a horrible, remorseless disease but with the help of the MND Association we can help to try and find out more about this disease and provide the best support and care for people and their families.
I need to raise a minimum of £4,000 for the trip - but I aim to raise much, much more with your support. My training and fundraising is underway and I know with your help I can achieve my targets.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me for the trek: Motor Neurone Disease Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me on this trip and I hope I can make you all, and my Dad, proud.
