Story

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for visiting my page.  I am both privileged and excited to announce that I have been selected to be part of The Tour 21 team in 2023 (1 of 25 amateur cyclists) riding the entire Tour de France route, one week ahead of the professionals and looking to raise over £1million as a team for the incredible blood cancer charity, Cure Leukaemia!

Starting in Bilbao, The Tour 21 led by Geoff Thomas (former England international footballer and blood cancer survivor) will take place from Saturday 24 June - Sunday 16 July and will tackle all 21 gruelling stages and 3,404km of the Tour de France route - one of the world's most iconic and toughest sporting endurance events. The 2023 Tour route will see us climb the equivalent of 5 Mount Everest's in 3 weeks enroute from the Basque Country and through the mountain ranges of the Pyrenees, the Massif Central, the Jura, the Alps and the Vosges before finishing at the Champs-Élysées, Paris.

Even the TdF's greatest ever stage winner, Mark Cavendish, that I bumped into at the Route Announcement in October said that the 2023 event will be the hardest that he has seen in his career!

I am asking for your support.  My challenge is to raise £30,000 for the fantastic work Cure Leukaemia do week in week out.

With one person diagnosed with blood cancer every 14 minutes, help us to help save more lives and eradicate all forms of blood cancer in the next 15 years though world-class treatments, pioneering clinical trials and the funding of specialist nurses.
All funds raised from this event will be invested directly into the national Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) network  of 12 centres across the UK which Cure Leukaemia funds.  Patients from an increased catchment area of over 20 million people will have access, as a result, to potentially life-saving treatments through clinical trials.

Your generosity means we can help transform the prospects and lives of tens of thousands of blood cancer patients.  If you can, please help personally or through your business or company that you work for.  Corporate sponsorship of the team clothing and Team Bus can also be arranged.

Thank you for your support.  Please donate today and make a difference!
