On Sunday, 13th of May, I will be running the Sunderland Half Marathon, taking in 13.1 miles of asphalt, around our fair city.

Whilst completing a half marathon always feels like an achievement, I also hope to mark the day by raising some cash for Wearside Women In Need, a local organisation based in Washington, supporting the city as a whole.

WWIN have recently suffered devastating funding cuts at a time when the need for domestic abuse services has never been greater in our city. The team offer advice and guidance to women and children experiencing domestic abuse and currently operate 4 refuges, 3 of which are dedicated to housing women and children fleeing domestic abuse. 

If you've got a few quid to spare, please help me support this vital service in the incredible work that they do.
