Story
Welcome to my fundraising page. Back in 2007 after completing the hottest London Marathon in history I said never again. Older and maybe a bit wiser that has changed and of course you all know the reason.
In September of 2012 my wife Lisa lost her 18 month battle against metastatic breast cancer. We were advised from the outset that her illness was not curable but did this phase her? Not at all as many of you will know. Throughout her numerous cycles of chemotherapy she soldiered on and was an inspiration to all. Lisa touched the hearts of all and is sadly missed today and always by myself, our kids Charlie and Jessica and her family and friends.
What could I do to help others who maybe going through a similar experience to our family, well that is to try to raise funds for a charity that provided welcome support and vital information to both Lisa and myself during her illness. I only applied for one charity and low and behold I secured one of 41 places that 600+ people had applied for after hearing about Lisa's story.
I know during these hard times money is hard to find and many have already contributed to charity in memory of Lisa but if you could spare a few quid for the charity it would be much appreciated.
They say only a real man can pull off wearing pink, well lets give it a go then!
Much love and thanks to all
