Story

Hello,

Thanks for taking the time to visit Danny’s JustGiving page. We are raising money in Danny’s memory for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

If you are visiting this page we know Danny touched your life in some way.

Danny was diagnosed with MND in May 2018. He faced this illness with dignity and courage and lost his battle on 30th November 2019.

MND is a disease that affects a group of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control everyday movements such as walking, talking, swallowing and breathing.

This progressive, incurable and terminal illness has a devastating impact on the quality of life for those affected by it and their loved ones.

We and Danny benefited enormously from the advice and support of our local mnda team who along with all the professionals who treated him helped him to navigate this difficult personal journey.

Not enough is known about the causes of MND, nor is there a current treatment to cure this illness. Yet everyday in the UK, 5 people, like Danny, are diagnosed with MND and many face this journey without the support of family and friends.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
