Story

Following last year's Atlantic channel crossing, on 2nd September 2018 Dan and Paul are taking on the full length of our longest lake - Windermere!!

We are raising urgently needed funds for our friend Samantha Smith, a 30 year old single mother of 2 who owned a business and worked hard to support her family as a Psychotherapist, until recent devastating news that her brain and spinal cord are being crushed under the weight of her skull. Please see her story here: https://www.youcaring.com/samanthasmith-788861

The UK has nobody qualified to do the life saving surgery so Samantha has to go to America, where ongoing subsequent surgeries are required, all having to be privately funded.

None of your donations will be used to fund any part of the trip or entry fees.

Here is a report of Dan's race from 2013 from an experienced channel swimmer: https://swim4good.com/2013/10/18/17-5-km-of-unpredictable-open-water-swimming/
