I’m taking part in the UWCB event on 26/03 at the Liverpool Olympia to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. This is a charity very close to mine, and so many other hearts.

Those close to me know that 6 years ago, my lovely Mum was diagnosed with secondary Cancer and she’s only still with us today because of the great work that’s already gone into the research and development of treatments for a disease that affects so many of us. 

After attending a UWCB event before COVID, it’s something I’ve wanted to do. It consists of 16 gruelling training sessions across 8 weeks, culminating in a fight against a yet to be confirmed opponent, in front of a packed venue 😬

I’ve always been a keen supporter of anyone doing something to raise money for charity, but felt it was time to step up, take myself out of my comfort zone and do something myself.
