Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Having always been involved in sport I think I've taken for granted the importance of being part of a team and setting goals. Like for many people this has been taken away during the year of lockdown so I've decide to take on this challenge. It's often made days merge into weeks often feeling there's been no purpose to what I've done. This has lead to the occasional day I've not felt myself, I think its normal in these strange times. However it has made me realise how important it is to try to communicate it to the people who are around you and how you're feeling otherwise you come across as a bit of dick without meaning to. Speaking to friends you realise that everyone has those days with some peoples 'off days' can turn into weeks and months. I've often felt a little helpless in what I can do to help them get through their tough times apart from being someone they can vent to. So I've decided to try and do this challenge for anyone struggling during lockdown and try to raise awareness and break down some of the stigma surrounding mental health in especially men and sport.

Obviously people are struggling financially during this time so if you cannot afford a donation then a like, share and a comment will be perfect.

In no way am I a professional in this field so I'm trying to raise money  and awareness for people more qualified than I am to help people struggling with their mental health. If anyone has any information they can give me to help understand mental health issues further I'm keen to learn.

If anyone would like to join me in this challenge (obviously we can't be in person) that would be brilliant.

Many Thanks

Danny
