Story
Hi Everyone! I’m Danny, a PhD Student in Biochemistry at The University of Oxford.
I’ve decided to raise money for a cause close to my heart, multiple sclerosis, by participating in the 10km MS Walk in London. In February 2020, my father was diagnosed with the disease; he had symptoms for years, but doctors couldn’t seem to pinpoint the root cause, with it being a tricky disease to diagnose. Treatment is very limited, and he still suffers daily.
Despite all of this, he still never fails to be there for me as a father and as a best friend. He always offers advice, has a great sense of humour, and is one of my rocks. My life is better with him in it, and he is one of the bravest people I know. I’m very lucky to call him my dad.
I want to raise money to try and fund new treatments and support groups for people with this cruel disease, in the hope that one day MS will be a thing of the past.
