Great River Race · 3 September 2016

We brighten the lives of seriously ill young people by granting wishes and providing ongoing support. Our wishes are as unique as the children themselves and whether a child wants to be a fireman, meet a real-life mermaid or even the Loch Ness Monster, we work hard to make that wish come true.

Story

On September 3rd, 30 MediaCommers will be tackling ‘The Great River Race’ on the Thames in London - an amazing 21 mile course with over 300 crews taking part. Starting at Millwall Riverside, the race runs through the striking Docklands skyline, through central London and reaches its conclusion in Richmond.

It's all to raise money for Rays of Sunshine - a charity that brightens up the lives of seriously ill children by granting their wishes. Rays of Sunshine grants just over 3 wishes per day, meaning over 1200 wishes are granted each year. MediaCom is aiming to raise at least £15,000 pounds, with each team targeting a minimum of £5,000 pounds each. This will mean that Mediacom should be able to grant wishes for 10 seriously ill children.
