A team of riders from Barnsley Rugby Club will be doing a  ride from Newcastle to Edinburgh to raise money for Barnsley Hospital Charity.

There are 24 riders doing the ride in total and all are raising money for Barnsley Hospital Charity. The charity supports patients  and their families and provides a number of specialist services to the population of Barnsley. The ride will start in Newcastle and finish in Edinburgh and is a total of 170 miles. The route hugs the east coast of England and Scotland and passes through beautiful places such as Barnburgh and Eyemouth  before finishing in Edinburgh.

This is the second ride Barnsley RUFC have organised for charity, with last years ride raising in the excess of £4,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA). This year the team is hoping to match last years total and all donations are very much welcomed and will go directly to the charity. Thanks so much to everyone who has supported the ride so far.
