In case you were wondering Wiggo wasn't the only premiere cyclist to have escaped the ghetto of London W9. Whilst he battled his demons and found salvation on a bike, I found salvation in comfort eating and complex carbs. We are both world champions in our chosen fields. 

Team Ebreo (GB/Philippines) have been training hard in the brutal landscape offered by Le Tour de  East Anglia over the summer to deliver a phenomenal result worthy of the calibre required in an Olympic year at the London Bikeathon 2012 in September. In case you haven't been following the coverage on ESPN 92 (Sky 998/Virgin 407) we have covered the Prologue on the Marriotts Way, The Time Trial on the Norwich-Ketteringham loop, and most recently the fabled L'Etape du Suffolk, an ischaemic gooch inducing 96.5km of pain. Highlights of which included Richard Ebreo selflessly shelving personal ambition on the feared Peasonhall Rise to be rewarded on the penultimate sprint by me leading him out on a breakaway providing a frankly massive target to draft behind. 

Team Ebreo(GB/Philippines) receives no commercial sponsorship or Lottery funding. Even our bikes were self funded due to the austerity measures implemented by the NHS cycle to work scheme. We cycle for 'ruv and to support the phenomenal work of Leukaemia & Lymphoma research who have provided so much support and care for our Dad since he was diagnosed. Through their research we know that if or when he gets ill there will be hope.
