In low- and middle-income countries fewer than 1 in 10 children with cancer are diagnosed, treated or given pain relief. World Child Cancer improves cancer care for some of the world’s poorest children by creating international twinning partnerships between medics hospitals and parent support groups

Story

Hello

For those who know me,I'm 35 years old and I only really started running a couple of years ago.  I'm not exactly built for speed and NEVER did I think I would one day enter let alone complete a marathon. In May 2012 I ran the Edinburgh marathon for the first time and in September I also completed the Loch Ness Marathon.

Completing these events and the generosity and kindness of all the people who turned out to support the runners, large and small, old and young, black, white, those in fancy dress, the elite athletes, the veterans and those just trying to make it round for the first time was an experience that will stay with me.

In 2013 I'm going to run the Edinburgh Marathon for a second time and am looking to raise as much money as I can for World Child Cancer.  Please help to support them by donating through my just giving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now and never stop running till the race is done. Darren.
