Story
Ok, the last time I asked for sponsorship was back in 2005 for the cycle across the USA so I’m hoping that people would have saved up enough to donate again. The challenge will be to walk the 220 miles of the River Severn in 8 days, this will be completely unsupported and I’ll be carrying my own water, food and tent with me. Every penny raised will go to the University of Gloucestershire led Sport Malawi initiative which seeks to “promote and use sport and physical activity for the purposes of outreach and development. The project is funded entirely from voluntary donations. The project seeks to develop a network of significant actors within the ‘sport’ and the ‘development’ sectors in Malawi to tackle issues through sport such as poverty, gender inequality, education and preventable diseases such as Malaria and the HIV/AIDS”. A very worthwhile cause and especially poignant during Olympic year. Thank you for your generosity.
