Story
We are taking part in a 9 mile sponsored walk across London to raise money for the Tommy Hollis Childrens Fund.
All of the store managers and the regional leadership team from M&S London City are taking part. We have been split into 3 teams to help to raise more money along the way and drive some competition but ultimately all aiming for the same goal! Each team will be taking a different route, all covering 9 miles across our London City. We will be finishing up at Chiswick calling in at some of our shops to drum up more support along the way.
The Tommy Hollis fund was set up by Tommy's parents after he tragically died the day before his first birthday. The purpose of the charity is to grant money to existing charities that work with children with the aim of providing;
- immediate care
- ongoing support for children and their families
- support in bereavement
The vision of the charity is to generate financial resources to;
- Help make medical equipment available to sick children
- Bring support and enjoyment to orphaned children
- Help parents & families spend quality time with terminally ill children
- Assist in the welfare of underprivileged children
- Provide bursaries for training in palliative care
All of the charities that The Tommy Hollis Fund supports are small local charities that have no government funding and so every pound is really important!
Please dig deep and help us to raise loads of money. We want to be able to present a big cheque to the Tommy Hollis Fund at the end of the walk.
All money raised will touch so many charites it really is such a worthwhile cause!
We will keep you updated on our progress!
Thank you for your support.
