On Friday 18th February during Storm Eunice the roof of the RNLI Lifeboat Station at Sennen Cove in Cornwall suffered significant damage. This appeal has been launched to help fund the repairs to the Lifeboat Station.

Story

The RNLIs Lifeboat Station at Sennen Cove in Cornwall suffered considerable damage when its roof was blown off during Storm Eunice in Feb 2022.The local community have provided outstanding help to the Sennen Cove volunteers and the RNLI's staff in managing to ensure that the stations lifeboats were operational again with in 24 hours of the initial incident. Temporary works are underway to ensure that the building is watertight and secure ensuring that our RNLI volunteers can continue their essential lifesaving work. In the long-term work will be carried out to replace the roof so ensuring that the crew can continue then stations 168 year history of protecting those who use the waters off the Lands End peninsula. The RNLI self-insures it buildings meaning that it will have to fund both the temporary and long-term repairs from its charitable funds. Your donations will help fund these essential works to support our Sennen Cove Volunteers.
