I am running the crazy London to Brighton Ultra Challenge a distance of 62 miles of which 60% is off road.
Also have been privileged in being able to join Matthew Pritchard(Pritch from Dirty Sanchez)as he completes 30 half Ironman challenges in 30 days so on the 30th March 2016 I will be completing the final half Ironman with him!
I am running for the charity Action for ME(www.actionforme.org.uk)
They are a very small but they do massive things in trying to raise awareness and research into the cause of ME and hopefully find a cure and eradicate this debilitating condition.
The charity not only try to raise money but give support to sufferers, carers and families as ME not only physically, psychologically, emotionally, spiritually affects sufferers of ME it can affect all those close to and who care for sufferers too.
The Charity ballots Government to raise awareness fighting for recognition of ME.
My Mum Patricia has suffered with ME for many years and it drives to wan to help rid the world of ME so it cannot cause anyone any more suffering or pain.
For those who do not know what ME is ME stands for
Myalgic Encephalomyelitis
and is a long term(chronic) fluctuating illness which affects many body systems, more commonly the immune and nervous system.
It has many symptoms and differing levels of severity, and these differ from person to person but one of the main symptoms is chronic exhaustion it can at anytime totally sap any energy or strength from your body and render a person near immobile for lengthy periods of time and with exhaustion can come severe pain too.
I hope through tireless work from Action for ME and research all that will be a thing of the past.
So please help me with any size donation, as every penny raised will bring us one step closer to being free of ME.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and roll on 28 May 2016 when I am going to smash 62 miles!
I hope you can support me, all encouragement in the coming months of training will lift me and push me harder to a good time.
Massive Thanks Darren
