Between Friday 26th July 2019 and Sunday 28th July 2019. We will be cycling from Hungerford, Berkshire to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. The tour covers 180 miles over the 3 days. It raises a huge amount of money for Care of Police Survivors (COPS) and concludes by joining the COPS survivors weekend/annual service of remembrance.

While realising the dangers of policing, nobody experts to die in the line of duty. Sadly when such tragedy does occur, the surviving family endures a number of emotions they need help coping with. 

The police service does not have the resources to maintain support for these families beyond the immediate aftermath of the death. That is where 'Care of Police Survivors' (COPS) comes in.

COPS is a UK registered charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers who have lost their lives whilst on duty. They aim to ensure that survivors have all the help they need to cope with such a tragedy, and that they remain part of the police family as they rebuild their lives. Only another survivor can fully understand what new survivors endure, that shared experience is the basis for our peer support programme. 

COPS enables survivors to help survivors, the extent of help provided will always be controlled by the new survivor. Sometimes an understanding listener is needed. Sometimes more practical help is required. Whatever the need, COPS will be able to put survivors in touch with those who truly understand.
