We offer expert care, guidance and support to people living with a terminal illness

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part with my work colleagues, in an attempt to set a new world record.

The record that we are attempting is "To travel the greastest distance on a standard go-kart, on an indoor track within 24hrs". The current record is 955miles, and it is our aim to match and then beat this record. The mileage that we have to cover is the equivilent of travelling from cardiff to Rome.

I wanted to do something for Marie Curie Cancer Care because they are a charity based organisation that offer treatment and support for terminally ill people and their families that are affected by this disease. They have recently helped my mother who unfortunately lost her battle on 2nd December 2010, they also assisted my step-mother who lost her battle in 2008.

The team will be made up of Police officers from South-Wales Police, who all currently work in Cardiff City Centre..

Our attempt is due to take place at Teamsport indoor Kart track, Cardiff on January 17th 2011 starting at 4pm.
