In the 30 years since Meningitis Now was founded, we have funded research, provided support & worked to raise the public's awareness of the disease. Our vision is a future where no one in the UK loses their life to meningitis and everyone affected gets the support they need to rebuild their lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Darren Bentley and Fergal Hughes are vowing to give up alcohol and takeaways from 23.59 on 1st January 2018 to 23.59 on 1st April 2018.

Please sponsor them so we can raise money to help Meningitis Now support people affected by this horrendous disease and to fund research to achieve a future where Meningitis is no longer a threat.

Some of the worst things about this disease are that it can take hold so very quickly, it frequently affects young children and the early signs can often be mistaken for other ailments.

Darren's cousin Cara's daughter Mia is still recovering from Meningitis and Rebecca's cousin Clare's daughter Orlagh lost her life to this cruel disease at the age of only 21 months.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity.
