We aim to help those experiencing homelessness, or at risk of becoming homeless, providing breakfast, lunch, showers, clothing & use of IT. We are a homeless hub with visiting agencies offering medical support and help with substance misuse, housing advice and help navigating bureaucracy.

Story

Near two years ago I started to volunteer at the local homeless centre in Lancaster cooking meals as I wanted to give something back to the local community in which I grew up. The LDHAS, Lancaster’s Homeless Centre, provides hot meals, practical support and essential services for homeless and vulnerably housed people in the Lancaster area. The charity has been doing its work for over twenty years in their centre on Edward Street. Now that the land has been sold for development with no provision made for a new shelter on the development site. The LDHAS is now faced with relocating and is launching a fundraising campaign to raise money for a new Centre.
