Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Those of you who know me really well are aware of the illness that my 8 year old daughter is fighting at the moment. The good news is that she is winning her battle against A.L.L. (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia) and is back at school with a full crop of (now) curly hair. Georgia is having her "Wish" granted this Christmas -with heartfelt thanks to The Starlight Children's Foundation - and is going on the trip of a lifetime to visit Santa in Lapland.
I will be running the London Marathon on 26th April 2009 (dressed as a "Make a Wish" Fairy) to raise money for this very worthwhile cause. I completed the Marathon in 2000 for MENCAP in just over 6 hours - this time I am aiming for a more respectable time(!) of around 5 hours. Hopefully the fairy costume will make me lighter on my feet, and the reason behind me running will get me over the line and make my daughter proud.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Starlight Children's Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now !
