Hearing Dogs for Deaf People trains dogs to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds such as the smoke alarm, alarm clock, intruder alarms and baby monitors. These amazing dogs also help deaf people to leave loneliness behind by providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Story

Hi - thanks for looking me up

Well I'm still standing (!) - the marathon was SO exhausting and tough but an amazing unforgettable challenge and I managed to finish in around 5 and a half hours.

Thank you if you came on the day to support me - sorry if we didnt see each other but knowing you were there helped me to get my poor old tired legs to the finishing line.

If you havent donated, but would like to - its not too late....as the more money raised, the more the charity can do to help deaf people.    Check out the charity's website to see the wonderful and unique work they do and the testimonies of deaf people who have benefitted:       http://www.hearingdogs.org.uk/. Please donate - no  matter how big or small, your contribution will make a difference.

If you have donated then a HUGE thank you - i'm totally blown away at the generosity shown - it helped me to beat the original target by over 50% and both the charity and myself are so grateful.  Huge love from me.

Darren :)

Oh and finally.....
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Hearing Dogs For Deaf People will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
