I spent four months from Jan to May 2010 working for Leonard Cheshire Disability in Sri Lanka. Leonard Cheshire Disability have worked for over 60 years in 52 countries around the world, supporting and transforming the lives of people with disabilities. Through supporting inclusive education in mainstream schools, helping in finding employment or setting up small businesses, and rehabilitation and physiotherapy, Leonard Cheshire Disability empowers people with disabilities to lead full lives, and encourages them and others to see their Abilities and the things they Can do.
