Story

Hey! Thank you for visiting this page.

So, as you can see, I'm doing the London Marathon next year for a fantastic charity called The Brain Tumour Charity. As some of you will know, my Dad passed away in June last year after being diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a grade 4 brain tumour, in November 2013. Dad had a seizure & was rushed to hospital, from there he was told he had three months unless he had an operation to remove the tumour (or as much as possible). After the eight hour operation, he began a six week course of radiotherapy, which the doctors said should give him between 18-24 months, whilst having chemotherapy to help reduce the growth of the tumour.

During this time, my dad & I got closer than we ever had before, finding out more & more about each other (hence the batman tattoo). I also went to a support group with my dad once & met some amazing people, I learnt that brain tumours affect people of all ages with one girl there diagnosed at 15 & I was inspired by how all the people there were so caring & open.

My Dad was a fun loving, family & friend orientated, food lover & just generally an amazing person who was always up for a laugh.

No one should go through what we have all been through, which this where you come in!!

Any donation will do amazing things for The Brain Tumour Charity. If we can get better treatments & help for patients we can help give people more time & make it easier for loved ones. I need to raise a minimum of £2,500 to run but I thought £3,000 was a nice round number.

There are 3 different ways to donate: You can give your donation to me and I can put it straight into the Justgiving page, you can donate by bank card or paypal from this website or you can text (find instructions with the photos!)

Thank you for your support & any donation made, as you can imagine, it means a lot to me. Please share this with your family, friends, colleagues, neighbours & pets!
