Daryl's Catfishing Against Cancer

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As we all know Cancer is a devastating disease and has affected us all at some point in our lives wether it’s affected somebody you know, a family member or even yourself.
I am doing this for my Grandad who passed away to liver cancer back in 2011, My aunty who is now battling a brain tumour for the second time & my dad my hero my idol whose battled Thyroid Cancer, Skin Cancer and 5 years ago this year Lung Cancer. And for all of my friends who have lost parents and family members to this horrible disease.
Me and my dad are taking part in a 3 day Catfishing event to raise money and awareness to Teenage Cancer Trust. Fishing has been a hobby and something My Grandad, my Dad and myself have done for years and is close to our hearts and now we would like to use this opportunity to Raise money and awareness for such a good cause.
Every day, seven young people aged between 13-24 hear them words “you have cancer” They will each need specialised nursing care and support to get them through it. Teenage Cancer Trust are the only UK charity dedicated to meeting this vital need – so no young person has to face cancer alone.
Teenage Cancer Trust offers unique care and support, designed for and with young people. We fund specialised nurses, youth workersand hospital units in the NHS, so young people have dedicated staff and facilities to support them throughout treatment.
They also run events for young people with cancer to help them regain independence and meet other young people going through something similar.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story & together WE WILL BEAT CANCER
