Hi everyone, Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi I am a unit manager for the Compass Group, who are a contact catering company. The sector I work in is Instore who provide catering for some of Britains biggest retailers. Our sponsored charity is Cancer research UK and so farthis yearwe have raised as a business over £33k for the charity, which is a phenominal amount of money going to a great cause. However every penny counts and I would like to do my bit to raise the total further. I have regularly done fundraising events through my life but this is my biggest challenge to date. 

I am doing this walk along with a couple of my good friends, John and Rachael Johnson-Ross. I am hoping to complete it in memory of an old work colleague who was a great support to me in my current role, Helen Braga.  This lady was a very hardworking, caring individual who is sorely missed by all that had the good fortune to meet her. Helen was involved in my initial recruitment to my current job and within the first few months of my employment we did a charity walk in Derbyshire (mam tor) as part of a group of managers for the same charity. Helen was scared of hights and struggled with steep drops down the side of the hill as she completed the walk. But that was Helen she wouldn't ever shirk away from a challenge no matter how hard it was and that is why I feel this is a good challenge to do in her memory. If all goes well with this one I would like to do the UK three peak challenge next year so watch this space for further news on that.
