The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

Since the beginning of the Corona Virus outbreak, fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income.

This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.

The lockdown brings specific issues for blind and partially sighted people and as Director of Services at RNIB, I know the real value that our Services provide to blind and partially sighted people throughout the UK. These services are needed more than ever just now and that is why I am dusting off my old football boots which were retired after the 2012 Paralympics and taking 2,600 penalties over the next week. I would be immensely grateful if you could donate towards this cause. Thank you.
