Frog Graham Round · 1 September 2019

We are a quicksand, snow & flood Rescue Team that works with Cumbria Fire & Rescue, Lancashire Fire & Rescue, Cumbria & Lancashire Police, North West Ambulance Service and HM Coastguard using Hagglund BV206 all terrain vehicles & 4x4's in the Morecambe Bay, Lake District and North Lancashire area.

Story

In September; I along with my daughter Emily and son-in -law Tom will be setting off on the challenge of The Frog Graham Round.

The Frog Graham Round is a fell-running and swimming challenge.

Along with covering just over 40 miles, ascending and descending 15,750 feet over the Lakeland Fells,   between we must swim across Bassenthwaite Lake, Crummock Water, Buttermere and Derwent Water before finishing where it all starts at Keswick’s Moot Hall.

You may know that I'm not one of the most confident of swimmers, I will be very much outside my comfort zone. For safety I've asked my operational team members from Bay Search and Rescue to be my support boat for the final and longest swim across Derwent Water which will probably be in the dark.
