At Princess Alice Hospice, we provide exceptional end of life care in our hospice and in the community. We know we can’t prevent death, but we do whatever we possibly can to make it the best it possibly can be. But, above all, we believe that hospice care is for living.

Story

In Memory of one of my best friend's Terry Flatt who recently passed away due to a rare brain disease called CJD (Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease)

CJD comes in 4 different forms and affects less than one in a million people a year.  There is currently no known cure.

SInce being diagnosed with this condition, Terry had a rapid decline. He was admitted to the care of the Princess Alice Hospice in Esher. After several visits I personally witnessed the amazing care they gave to Terry and his family at their time of need.

My 10k run is my personal attempt to contribute to the ongoing care of others under the charitable organisation of the Princess Alice Hospice. I know without this charity, my friend's last few weeks would have been more difficult for him and his family.
