I am participating in a cycle ride, with fellow cyclist Steve Ashton, from Land's End to John O' Groats in order to raise money for three local charities which are Fylde Coast YMCA, Fylde Sharks Disability Swim Club and Funpod Foxes Disability Multi Sports Club.

With your help the money raised for Fylde Coast YMCA will be re-distributed into our communities to provide families with a chance to build stronger relationships within their community through multi-skilled events. The events run will be called the Community Games and form part of the Olympic Legacy and follow the Olympic theme and values. The Games are aimed to increase physical activity in all ages especially in disadvantaged communities.

Much needed funds for Fylde Sharks will be distributed to help the volunteer led club continue to provide swimming lessons to children with disabilities. The club currently find it difficult to find the revenue to pay for increasing overheads such as pool hire and equipment.

Funpod Foxes is a local club based on the Fylde Coast providing children and adults with disabilities the ability to express themselves through multi-skilled activities. Money donated will help towards the cost of replacing tired equipment and increasing hire costs.
