Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was due to ride the Cyclone Challenge later this month (an organised mass participation ride) and had intended to raise sponsorship for Newcastle Vision Support, however, due to Covid-19 the event was cancelled. Instead, I will be riding a minimum of 100 miles around Northumberland on one day in July for the same cause. I'm not naming the day yet as it's weather dependant and I'll plan two routes deciding on the day which one I'll take, again to suit the weather - no one likes pushing into a headwind any more than is necessary!
This will be my first century and I've added details of the two route options to the update section below. My training rides will appear below automatically, sent directly from the cycling app Strava, and once I've completed the ride you'll see that below as well.
My in-laws, Judi and Gareth, gave me fantastic support (not least making me 57 varieties of soup!) while I was recovering from an accident a while back and Judi is a regular volunteer at NVS so that's why I've chosen this charity.
I completely understand that these are difficult times for people so if you can't donate at the moment that's okay. Also, if you're not happy using online payment, if you can get a cheque or cash to me I'll add it to the total.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
