We believe every blind veteran should be able to lead the life they choose. At Blind Veterans UK we’re one, transformational team. We provide rehabilitation, training, practical advice and emotional support. Together we can help rebuild lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Please help me raise money for Blind Veterans UK.  I've chosen this charity because I feel a personal connection; although mine was a simple accident at a firework party, having lost sight in my left eye and going through 20 operations  I feel I have an understanding of what it is like to become blind and how devastating it could be.

As a keen cyclist, riding 100 miles through London and Surrey isn't a huge personal challenge, but completing the course in under 5 hours would be.  To give me more of an incentive and to hopefully raise more money, how about pledging a small amount initially, and either doubling it if I complete it in under 5 hours, or sponsoring me for every minute I am under 5 hours?  Last year it took me 5 hrs 45 mins, and  I will publish my official time after the event.
