Hello, my name is Dave and I am lucky to have been given the chance to take part on a Global Hope Project abroad this summer. 

Global Hope is an overseas charity organised through Liverpool Hope University. Students can volunteer in a number of ways and have visited countries such as Malawi, Uganda, Brazil, Sri Lanka and South Africa.

This summer, myself and a team of other students and staff from Liverpool Hope University will be visiting an SOS village in Malawi, teaching in a school. The general number of children in a class can be between 60 to 80 pupils, and their resources for education are very low.

 

The projects are funded with generous support from many people and organisations, however they are only possible with many hours of fundraising and generous donations from friends, family and the general public.

 

To make these projects possible a target is set to raise £1000 per person for the charity. I would be really grateful if you could contribute to my fundraising in any way possible, any amount will be greatly valued!

 

I feel incredibly fortunate to be given the chance to take part in this project and to go and give as much help as I possibly can in the time that I spend there.
