Our UK projects, Petra, Action Pantry and Clothesline support families in need across the South West by providing accommodation, food, and clothes. In the Philippines, we help street children to regain lost years by providing residential care, a schooling program and a drop-in centre.

Story

Late January 2022 will be a year exactly since Anne died. In her memory I thought it would be good to do a small charity event for one of her favorite charities. My plan is to cycle up Everest - in a weekend! And without leaving the house!

This is both easier and harder than it sounds. Easier because with my indoor Zwift cycling setup I can stay dry and warm and reasonably comfortable. Harder because Zwift really does simulate cycling uphill very accurately. And cycling up Everest requires nearly 9km of vertical ascent; so that means lugging myself and my bike up about 2 vertical miles a day for 3 days.

So do feel free to sponsor me. I'm very grateful. Or, if you are local and would like to be part of my support team (in other words, ply me with food and drink and encouragement), just let me know.
