Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of any cancer. Forty years ago few children survived childhood leukemia. Now the survival rate is 80%. Forty years ago only 46% of women diagnosed with breast cancer survived 5 years or more. Now that figure is also 80%. Forty years ago 3% of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer survived 5 years or more. That figure is still only 3% today!
In April 2014 we lost David Stephenson, a father, a grandfather and a truly amazing man due to pancreatic cancer. He fought a very tough battle, and he was so strong right until the very end. We are all so proud of him, and we want to make him proud too.
Pancreatic cancer UK is determined to make a difference, and we're determined to help!
