Story

Hello,

Last year Scott & I competed in a few sporting challenges (mainly cycling) for the charity Brightest Star. Brightest Star is a charity that has been set up as a legacy to a wee boy called Jack who suddenly died 6 days before his 6th birthday. The aim is to raise awareness and funds to help other families who also face the heart ache of not only losing their child but also how to come to terms with this. An experience that my family has had to deal with when my baby twin daughter Jessica Emma was born asleep on the 11th April 2012.

This is what we have got planned so far;

Pedal The Park - Sunday 24th April. 100km around Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park. Leaving from Lochwinoch traveling through Greenock, Largs, Dalry back to Lochwinoch. http://gb.mapometer.com/cycling/route_4254687

Tour Of The Highlands - Saturday 28th - Monday 30th May. 3 Days, 5 Ski Centre's, 300 Miles with 6,115M Elevation Gain. Traveling over the highest mountains in the UK. Glencoe, Pitlochry, Glenshee, The Lecht, Cairngorms, Nevis Range. https://tourhighlands.wordpress.com/route/

For those who have never heard of Tough Mudder, it is a 12 mile obstacle course designed by the British Special Forces and has obstacles that involve freezing cold water, 8ft high fences, fire, electric shocks & lots of mud.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OigQ-a6hFc
