Turn up on the day and do it the hard way
My name is Dave Cox, 41 of Worthing. I will be cycling from London to Paris, and back again accompanied by my son Josh Cox 16, and step-son Jack Fuller. This is in aid of Palentine Primary School, and we are aiming to raise at least £10,000 which will be put forwards to buy a new minibus for the students.
My daughter Blossom, 6 is a student at the school. She suffers from seizures which cause her to stop breathing and lose vital oxygen to the brain, this has led to having severe learning difficulties and her condition has never been diagnosed.
This ride is not the sort of thing I would have thought about doing until I had Blossom, it really opened my eyes to the bigger picture and the things that people go through.
Im not doing any training cause that would be to easy.We will be starting out from the Queens Public House in the affluent Primrose Hill, currently frequented by celebrities, in the hope of raising more cash through extra sponsors gained on the day. The trip will finish at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and then we will be cycling back, ending at Palentine School, Worthing. We aim to complete the ride in 10-12 days.
