Story

Hi, I have decided to climb Mount Kilimanjaro on a self funded trip to raise money for All Hands, a volunteer-powered disaster relief organization dedicated to Rebuilding Hope for people impacted by natural disasters all over the world.

Over the last 12 years, they have enabled over 39,000 volunteers to donate 200,000 days impacting 500,000 people worldwide.

I am self funding the trip and all money raised is for the charity.

The trip itself involves a 7 day trek via the Lemosho Route to the summit of the largest mountain in Africa.

Aside from the physical challenge of the trek the main challenge will be dealing with the altitude - it's high up there!

Training over the next 9 months will involve combining my usual running with some hill walking and some trips to an altitude acclimatisation centre in London!

Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated!
