Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've been given the amazing opportunity to amble gently through the Himalayas and to raise some money for Barnados at the same time. All the money raised in sponsorship will go straight to Barnados, as I'm paying my own way for what will undoubtedly be the trip of a lifetime. In all honesty I don't anticipate walking/scrambling/crawling uphill for a solid fortnight ever again.

I've bought a new pair of boots, and am even running (after a fashion) again, so should be in the peak of physical fitness (or shattered) by the time we depart for Kathmandu. I've also enlisted my eldest daughter to lean on for moral and physical support, so I have absolutely no chance of wimping out!

All I need now is a pair of blinkers (or better yet a blindfold) to help me cross the various swaying high wire suspension bridges and I'll be ready to roll.

I've not chased anyone for sponsorship for the last 8 years, so your charitable coffers should be bursting at the seams... and any donation you can make whether large or small ( or enormous!) will help make a huge difference to the kids that Barnados work with.
