Story
We've joined together to raise money for Michael Sobell House (MSH). MSH is a hospice located on the grounds of Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood. MSH provides specialised end of life care and support to patients, their families, friends and carers.
To enable MSH to continue supporting their patients and families, Claire and Zoe have got together a team of sixteen naive (but amazing) friends and will be adopting the name of 'Dave's Angels'. We will be walking (and potentially crawling ;) around a 10 mile local course, starting at 10pm on Friday June 15th at MSH.
We'll be walking in the memory of Dave Allen, who sadly passed away last year at the age of 67 from esophageal cancer.
Dave spent the last three weeks of his life at MSH and throughout his time there, MSH offered a huge amount of support and comfort to Dave and his family.
Throughout spending all of their time at the hospital with their Dad, it was immediately apparent to Claire and Zoe how much the hospice relies on donations to provide their crucial services. Currently they are not fully funded by the NHS, so they have to raise almost half of their own running costs!
Therefore, the entire team would really appreciate any donations you can make in order to support them and more importantly MSH.
