Two families require housing in Uganda - I plan to do a 24 hour sponsored silence starting on 9th December to fund raise for the first house. This is opportunity not aid though... in return, one (Restatuta - pictured right) will work for three years running a community hub project that I co-founded. 

There is another (Octaviah - pictured left), which another friend, Andrew Jennings, will fund raise for her house. The sponsored silence aims to raise enough to build a toilet/washroom and kitchen for Octaviah which are separate structures to the main house; she will sacrifice 65% of her annual project co-ordinator salary for three years; the money sacrificed will fund tried-and-tested agricultural business initiatives (which I also co-founded) that parents of a child sponsorship programme will benefit from; the idea being this can help them help their own children's additional educational needs. 

This way, the two houses are not totally free, two amazing women will be able to put a roof over their children and many get helped in the process.

You Can Africa (founded by me, Dave Rutherford) is doing a joint venture with housing provision charity 'I AM'. These will be our 3rd and 4th housing projects together.
