Story

BUPA Great North Run

 5th October 2008

Yes that's me crossing the finish line of the Manchester Marathon 23 years ago. When I completed it (26 miles in a modest 3hrs 45mins) I vowed never to do another...

Until now!

As many of you know I think I'm still 18. But to prove to you that I am as fit as I was then I've agreed to take part in the BUPA Great North Run 2008.

I'm dusting off the old Reebok's... training like Rocky... Fog on the Tyne is all mine... 13 and a half miles of blister inducing, nail breaking, foot thumping endurance... to peg across the finish line in under 2 hours (The equivalent of what i did when I was 18 - this is a half Marathon) and raise desperately needed money for Henshaws Society for Blind People.

Dig deep please and  sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support.

Cheers Dave
