Story
Thanks for visiting my page,
I'm doing the 10mile great south run again this year (4th time), am hoping that the weather is better than the last two years...think my photo and expression says it all.
Last year, I did the run for Cancer Research UK - at the time, my Dad was being treated with Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy as he had been diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma earlier in the year. After a tough year for him and everyone around him he was given the amazing news that he was in remission, since then he has continued to build himself back up and back to good health.
The importance of prevention and research into Cancer is obvious, but there is another element which is sometimes forgotten - and that's the support from organisations and individuals for people living with Cancer.
It is for this reason that this year I am doing the Great South Run for Macmillan Cancer Support.
I know that a loaf of bread costs about £25 and a pint of milk about a tenner at the moment, but a couple of quid from lots of people can make a massive difference.
Thanks all, is hugely appreciated
