My mum died in a tragic accident outside her house in Elburton near Plymouth a few weeks ago. (She was knocked over by her own car)

My mum was so loving and giving, I wanted to do something to honour her memory.  

Hence I am running the Plymouth 10k  this Sunday 8th October.

As my niece said "in memory of a life so beautifully lived and a heart so deeply loved".

I know 10k is not far but the last time I run over 6 miles was during the London Marathon in 2013.

I know my heart will get me round but whether my knees hold up is another matter.  

It seems fitting that the last time i entered a race it was for charity of my choice but this time i will be running for a charity that my mum supported.  My mum was fit as a fiddle and even fought breast cancer at the at the age of 70.  Hence our chosen charity.
